Summary
Echo has lived her life tucked away in the forests of Tethir, learning magic through the pulse of nature and the songs of creation. She's good with magic, but not people, which isn't really a problem until she's scooped up by mind flayers and has to get along with six strangers lest they all share a tentacle-y doom. And she manages to get along with most of them -- but then there's Gale of Waterdeep. Despite a terrible first impression, she finds he is actually much kinder than all the mansplaining would suggest.
This is a series of relationship scenes about my weird little mushroom hermit, a wizard who shows compassion and arrogance really can coexist, and how academic rivalry is like first base for wizards.
Spoilers for the entire main plot and Gale's romance

Summary
He had spent so long as an observer, a scholar of death, comfortable in the knowledge that some things simply were inevitable, unmoving. But Rook was chaos. She was fire, she was thunder, she was the crack in the foundation of every carefully laid-out plan he had for his life.
And he loved her for it. He was so utterly gone for her.
And it scared him because how could he be enough for a woman like that?

Summary
Rook had made two discoveries, as of late. The first was that she was falling in love with the Lighthouse's resident necromancer.
The second was that Emmrich Volkarin was an absurdly, unfairly pretty crier.
(Five times Emmrich cried beautifully, and one time he ugly sobbed like a normal person.)

”Are you sure,” she managed to speak between kisses, “you want this?”“You’re asking me? You’re the one,” he murmured, nibbling her lower lip, “getting married, darling.”

“Maybe what you really need is a friend, not a lover,” she’d told him.
Tavya's with Gale now; Astarion is just a very close friend.
So it’s definitely not a big deal when she runs into him the night before her wedding… right?

Summary
“I mean it,” she said. “Don’t kill anyone, Astarion. You’ve gotten what you wanted. Seven thousand lives was enough.”
“I don’t take orders from you anymore. You just said so, yourself.”
“The moment you kill someone,” Rose replied, “is the moment I'll know that my next task is to stop you.”
“Darling,” Astarion grinned, “I would sincerely like to see you try.”

Summary
Emmrich is fallible, and Rook- she brings him to his knees, eager to vie for her attention like he was a hungry dog. Maybe he is, he thinks- he’s loyal, exceedingly so. He can be softer, in those tender moments when he forgets all the heartache. He’d be a good companion- eager to heel at her touch and follow her into the darkest catacombs for a glimpse of the way her eyes soften right before she laughs at one of his jokes. He thinks of honeyed moments from a life that he dare not spend too long on- moments with a crackling hearth and a warm hand upon his nape, soft fingers undoing his tie-pin and dragging him in by his vest for a saccharine kiss.

Summary
“Hi Manfred,” Rook says. “Nice to meet you!”
Rook looks like most people look. She is person-shaped and has a head with hair, but beneath that, she is brimming with curiosity. He feels drawn to her, in the same way he had been drawn to Emmrich once – when Manfred was shiny and small and not yet called Manfred. He has a good feeling about this. It’s new. It's exciting. He already agrees with her.
Nice to meet you too! he hisses.***
Short and sweet scenes showing Manfred’s perspective on events of the Veilguard, and on the budding romance between Emmrich and Rook.

Giving Grave Gold as a gift was intimate. Something only done by parents, siblings, or spouses. It was very clear in its intention: to place evidence that one was loved both in life and death.
Or; The Mourn Watch throws a party, Rook is bad at receiving gifts and Emmrich is very fond of adorning his lover in gold.

Summary
He was certain he’d gotten the body down, at least, with just enough fine tunings to quickly move him from ‘pleasant diversion' to ‘indispensible’, if he played his cards right. That much was simple, and not without its own small entertainments.
But the mind… the mind, he was beginning to worry, might elude him.
--
Astarion and Rosalie think they understand each other perfectly, but they have each fallen prey to the other’s mask. As they both go forward with their adventure, will either of them dare to be honest?
[This is a blatant, self-indulgent novelisation of BG3 full-access, and Part 2 to my Early Access fic, A Bleeding Heart. I try to avoid directly retelling too many moments in the game, but occasionally fall into the trap of rewriting some canon scenes. Dual perspective because now my Tav has some issues to overcome! Come here for the vampire man, stay here for Rosalie's mental illness :') ]

Summary
After leaving Szarr Entertainment in the wake of a tumultuous - deliberately engineered - scandal, Astarion Ancunín has rebuilt his acting career, from the blacklisted ground up. Through a heavily doctored narrative of queer reclamation, he's finally making a name for himself, and hoping to claim prestige (and maybe a few awards) through the leading role in a historical biopic about the openly gay elven oracle, Aerthwyn Capaxath.
The only problem is, Aerthwyn Capaxath is the worst person that ever lived (or died). Just ask Dr. Rosalie Frostsong, a thoroughly unwilling expert on the subject.
