Summary
Garrus and Shepard never talked about what would happen between them if they survived the Collector Base. And yet here they find themselves, alive and rather unsure of how to proceed.
Against the backdrop of the DLC content of Mass Effect 2, Garrus Vakarian and Andrea Shepard attempt to plan for a future they never thought they'd see, even while haunted by the pasts they'd tried to leave behind.
So much stands in the way: rank, duty, family, and more than a few scars. What chance does this casual cross-species liaison have in the face of such opposition?
(This is a sequel to "Practice," but can be read as a stand-alone.)

Summary
A woman, not alive and not dead, stands at the end of a road of compromises in an underworld written in the quantum qubits of a machine god’s mind. The stars spin overhead, too large and too close, kaleidoscoping colors she didn’t know existed before. They speak with the voices of aeons. Chaos and order exist in oppositional states, they say. There can be no peace without control.
She's about to prove them wrong. (Post ME-3 Control Ending).

Summary
Her own personal Noverian peak. That’s what it was supposed to be. Nothing but the discovery: no distractions, no comfort, no windows looking out—no familiar faces. But it's starting to look like her winning streak might have ended in that pile of Citadel rubble, if it ever extended that far to begin with.
In which Shepard doesn’t want to be found, and Garrus, of course, has other ideas.
────
One polished pauldron bobs. “How does the Earth idiom go? No use beating a dead—” A long-suffering sigh. “What was it again?”“A dead horse. And yet, you’re here. Beating it.”
Pot, kettle. She wishes he’d just fucking say it.

Summary
"I'm going to let you in on one of my best kept secrets." She grins, mischievous gleam in her eyes.
She stands, crosses to the other side of him, and opens one of the crates. Removes spare parts for the Mako, and then a false bottom. Garrus's eyes widen.
"This is strictly need-to-know information, so I expect you to keep it to yourself, soldier."
"Understood."
She pulls out two bottles of beer; holds them up for him to see.
"Is that what I think it is?"
"Depends," she shrugs, "if you're not gonna drink, then no it isn't. If you are, then yes it is."
Or: A series of snippets consisting of shared drinks between Garrus and Shepherd.

Squad done and dusted, mom in palliative care: Garrus is on the brink. Patched together from scrap with all systems in overdrive, Shepard's no better.
They're still clocked in. Have to be. Thing is, you can't keep running on empty. The indicator's flashing red, and ignoring it only works until it doesn't.

Summary
The war is over and Shepard's still alive.
Except she doesn't really understand what war everyone is talking about, or who half of these people are... The last thing she does remember is the Normandy blowing up over Alchera. Which apparently was a few years ago, and things had changed a lot during that time. She doesn't even know which bothers her more: that everyone wants her to be someone she's not, or that Garrus has been strangely distant ever since she woke up...TL;DR: Shepard survives the Crucible but loses all her memories since Cerberus rebuilt her. Shakarian angst and regular angst, all mixed up together into a nice hurt/comfort cocktail. Despite the scary tags this has a happy ending.

It’s remarkably hard to work out where you are without a single map reference point to rely upon. Even worse, when all your preconceptions about the universe see themselves turned upside down and you're left without a point of reference for life itself.
Trapped in a ship orbiting a star on the wrong side of the galaxy, Shepard has to figure out a way to get home - now if only she knew why she was out here in the first place.First contact slow-burn shakarian AU with distant inspiration from "Project: Hail Mary", see authors note at beginning for full context.

Summary
Delia Shepard, traumatized and addicted to red sand after Torfan, has found a quiet-- albeit boring-- life on the Citadel as a Drugs and Trafficking Officer. When one of her informants is found dead in an alley, she's forced to team up with Detective Garrus Vakarian: an unfeeling, stiff, full of himself douche. But as they work together, they find that a dead mole is the least of their issues. Trouble is brewing, enemies are at every turn. And to top it all off, Shepard has sworn off friendships completely after the Alliance. So why can she barely function without Vakarian?
In another dark corner of the Citadel, Archangel has decided to sign up for an anonymous sex club. What's the worst that can happen? He's matched with a human he knows only as the Commander, someone who he can demand to obey his every rule and whim. As their meetings progress, Archangel finds himself getting closer and closer to the Commander. Can lust turn into something more substantial?
Essentially, the plot of Mass Effect if Shepard was not on Eden Prime, mixed with the love child of You've Got Mail and Fifty Shades of Grey.

Summary
Lieutenant Shepard died a hero. During the Skyllian Blitz, her actions to save a band of civillians against an unexpected flanking attack earned her the Star of Terra, even as they (presumedly) cost her her life. Her story is as legendary as it is tragic, one known to humans all across the galaxy. A bright spark, snuffed out too young.
Years later, a batarian slavers outpost is raided by a band of turian mercenaries, shortly after the supposed sale of every last slave in the compound. However, not all is as it seems as in the darkest, smallest cell in the compound, the pirates find something that is very much not supposed to be in the base.
Not even a few months later, the SSV Normandy pulls into the citadel docks after a confusing, desperate mission lead by Commander Kaidan Alenko, and Captain David Anderson finds himself confronted by a ghost.

Gorgeous retelling of Mass Effect. Unfinished but will reread until the end of days.

Summary
While she’s on (forced) medical leave, a certain turian crash lands in Shepard’s backyard. Instead of leaving him to bleed to death like any sane person would do, she takes him into her home and nurses him back to health.
(Because, as Vega would put it, she’s a goddamn girl scout with the self-preservation instinct of a moth near a flamethrower.)
A first contact AU where rather than immediately going to war with the turians, the first human to meet a turian instead maybe sort of falls in love with him.

Summary
She'd woken up in an unrecognizable galaxy, jammed together from spare parts, a Cerberus logo stamped on her ass. She'd been handed a beautiful, expensive, top-of-the-line mockery of her old ship, crewed by beautiful, expensive, top-of-the-line terrorists.
The Alliance wanted her to shut up and go back to being conveniently dead. Kaidan, it seemed, felt the same way. Anderson was the only family she'd ever had, and he wouldn't even answer her emails.
And either Shepard's sanity had splintered under the stress, or she was now some kind of unkillable demigod. Or both.

Summary
Alice was invited to spend the weekend with Cora and Nathaniel at his family's cabin. Yet when she arrives she finds herself alone with his younger brother. Unable to leave, Alice and Uncas settle in for a long weekend snowed in.
Serious fluff. Some angst, all winter tropes.

Picking up where the 1992 film left off, Nathaniel and Cora deal with respective losses, grief, and the joys, challenges, and dangers that arise as their love develops and they move forward with a new life together with Chingachgook. Old bonds are strengthened and new ones made as they discover the true meaning of family and deep, sacrificial love. Nathaniel/Cora centered with Chingachgook and others, and some curious Uncas/Alice elements and moments. Some background filler/explanations based on the J.F. Cooper books. Comments are welcome and appreciated! As of 7/21/17, this story is now complete. Enjoy!

"...find a Delaware-speaking woman for Uncas, she will say 'you are the one', bear him many children", Nathaniel had told the Camerons. One of the many ways in which a little Scottish girl might have been that woman. Bite-sized canon-divergent oneshots.
