"Left myself open," Robotnik hissed; or at least, he tried to. But he couldn’t actually hear his own voice to confirm he’d managed it, because there was nothing to conduct the sound waves. No sensory indicators of any kind. No feedback from his body. No one to hear him complain. Because nothing else was here.
Because apparently that’s what happens when whatever the old man had powered the station with blows up.
It sends anything in the epicenter to nowhere.
But it doesn’t kill them.
Exquisite torture. Robotnik had to hand it to the nature of the universe on that one. And it wasn’t even trying.

Luz was a human, and humans were an unfortunate blind spot in his studies, so Hunter had no idea what she needed. And even if he’d known for certain what would help alleviate Luz’s symptoms, he hadn’t even been in the Owl House for a week at this point. He had no idea where to look for supplies, or information for that matter.
All of which led directly to the second problem; Hunter was going to have to ask Eda for help.

It was Ritsu, in the end, who provided the obvious solution.
“If you’re worried, just call him.” His expression dropped slightly, as it always did when Reigen was brought up, but his advice was no less sound than usual. Mob thanked his brother, went upstairs, and selected Reigen’s contact number, relieved to finally have a course of action.
Relieved, that is, until Reigen didn’t pick up.

Then again, that was never the point. Mob was a kid. He shouldn’t have to deal with this. Reigen knew the dangers of taking the job, he’d done it anyway, and now he was dealing with the consequences. That was how the real world worked, or should work, anyway.

Even if half the assertions made by the crew are complete nonsense, Torse can’t help but ponder over Marya’s offhand comments.
“Everyone gets cabin fever on a long voyage eventually! But really, if anyone needs to get laid, it’s Maxwell.”
Admittedly, Torse is still on shaky ground when it comes to understanding Gathie biology. What if Marya’s comment points to a more serious issue? Does sex fall into the same category as food and water and sleep? Do Gathies get sick if they go too long without sex? This ‘cabin fever’ that Marya spoke of? He’s starting to get slightly concerned for Maxwell’s wellbeing.

He is a Gotch after all and Gotches are never rowdy, never violent, never imperfect.
And so, Maxwell Gotch is used to existing on the outside.
It is the same with the crew of the Zephyr, with old friends who adopted Olethra as ‘the kid' immediately, as the perfect little member of their crew. But Maxwell wasn't rowdy enough. Far too rowdy for his family, but not enough for the Wind Riders.
But that was fine.
Maxwell has been content with his lonely existence for twenty-nine years, why should that change now?In which Maxwell Gotch finds a family and falls in love.
