    Summary

It's time for the Yasogami High Cultural Festival! Chie and Yukiko, having only just confirmed their feelings for one another, try to have a secret date at the festival. Unfortunately they keep getting sidetracked and accosted by their well-meaning but oblivious friends.

This is the second fic in our Yukiko/Chie series. Reading the first fic isn't necessary to understand what's going on, but events from that fic are referenced in this one.

Arc complete! To be continued in Riptide

    Summary

After Yukiko was rescued from the TV World she decided it was time for a change! She would become stronger and learn to stand on her own two feet. She would make some new friends so she wouldn't have to put so much pressure on her best friend. Still, she was glad Chie was by her side for this harrowing new adventure... even if she was acting a little differently after rescuing Yukiko...

This is a fic that explores little moments that sit in the margins of canon, particularly around Chie and Yukiko's relationship, and with a Chie who is a little more aware of herself and her feelings after saving Yukiko.

Complete! To be continued in a series.

    Summary

“I’m sorry,” Sumire says, covering a sniffle with the back of her glove. “This is so embarrassing…”

“Do you—” Futaba starts to offer, but her voice fails.

Sumire’s still looking at her expectantly.

Futaba awkwardly waggles her hand in the scant space between them. “Would it help if you… held my hand?”

For Futaba, returning to the true reality is a daunting prospect — she and Sumire have that in common. It's hard to drag her out of the tar pit when they're both sinking in it.

    Summary

“Holy shit, did you see her in class today?”

“Yes! I don’t know how she wears shit like that and expects not to be laughed at.”

“Oh my God, she’s such a dyke.”

Shauna freezes. Technically she hasn’t moved since she got into this position, but her muscles tense up like springs, ready at a moment’s notice to fight or flight. She forces herself to calm down because she doesn’t even know who they’re talking about. Is it a horrible thing to say? Yeah, but it’s not surprising. Shauna’s heard the same prejudice from Mr. Taylor’s mouth enough to be a little desensitized to it. Whoever they were bitching about, it’s ultimately none of her business.

“I bet Van only joined soccer to be in the girl’s locker room,” they snickered.

Oh. They were talking about Van. Scratch that—it is Shauna’s business.

    Or

Five times Shauna stands up for her teammates and one time they do the same for her.
