Summary
“What the hell happened?”
“What happened, Michael,” Jack answers, hard, as if Robby can’t see the broken-open expression on his face, “is you got yourself hit by about five thousand pounds of steel and dropped out on me—”
“Shit,” Robby curses. “Jack— I’m sorry. You okay?”
Jack laughs without much humor in it. “Are you— Are you kidding me? Seriously? Your heart stopped on my table, you’re asking if I’m fucking okay?”
“Yeah, I am,” Robby says, because if it’d been Jack without a pulse on his table, he knows he would not be anywhere near okay.

Summary
Robby is fifty-four years old after PittFest and trying really hard not to come to terms with the fact that he is trans, even if it means destroying himself in the process. Jack is having none of it. He will love Robby no matter what, thank you very much.
There is a terrible feeling in her guts. Dread has settled there like a voracious tick, and the more it grows, the more faint she feels.
Jack knows. Jack knows. He saw the boy in the mirror. The boy who has stubbornly refused to go away since PittFest. She tried to get rid of him. She really did. She tried so hard, but the more she tried, the stronger he became. Now, she can’t look in a mirror without seeing him. It doesn’t matter what she is or isn't wearing, he is always there. Watching. Judging. Reminding her of everything she is doing wrong.
But at least, he was her secret. Not anymore though. She is certain Jack saw him. And she is certain this is the beginning of the end. Nothing will ever be the same.

Summary
Christos gets a lot of hospital staff at his diner. He's open twenty-four hours a day and only a couple of minutes' walk away, making it the perfect spot to spend a fifteen-minute break or get a hit of proper coffee. (Christos has been reliably informed that the coffee in the breakrooms is shit, and he prides himself on providing the good stuff)
Out of all the many doctors, nurses, and other staff who frequent his diner. He has a favourite. Dr Michael Robinavitch.
Dr Robby, that's what he told Christos to call him.

Summary
“This isn’t a wheelchair,” She groans, standing again. “This is a medieval torture device, Jack.”
Jack shrugs. “It’s what I’ve got. Prosthetist’s fixing the leg.”
Her eyes narrow. “You wouldn’t let a patient go home with this, I know you.”
“I’m not a patient,” He mutters, logging into the portal and tuning her out.
She doesn’t let him. “You’re a patient right now,” She shoots back. “My patient.”
(Or, Jack’s prosthetic breaks and he needs a better wheelchair, a custom. Robby — the ATP/PT, fits him for one).

Summary
Robby makes an attempt on his life following the events of PittFest. Jack is forced to call 911 and the hospital triggers a 302.
Following that fateful night, Jack visits Robby every single day of his mandatory 120-hour hold, desperate to help Robby make it through and bring him home.
During those five days, Jack will witness Robby experience the five stages of grief as he attempts to convince him to accept help.
Robby didn't greet him. Didn't talk. Barely looked at him. Jack wanted to claw at his own heart. He wanted to take Robby in his arms, to hold him, to press his forehead against his, to ask for a forgiveness he didn't deserve, to never let go again, to take his pain, to take the hurt… But he couldn’t. Trust had been broken.
