Something must be in the air today, is all, because Maki swears neither of her friends or their respective beaus have looked at her in ages. Rantaro was checking in on her semi-frequently while he was awake, but he’s out cold now and incapable of looking in. Kaito, while usually attentive to her needs, has gotten caught up in his story. And Shuichi and Kaede… yeah, they’re a lost cause.
Maki takes a long, resentful sip of her milk tea. She doesn’t exactly care if everyone is looking at her the entire time they’re out, but something about being the fifth wheel on an outing she had to be talked into in the first place is really ticking her off. The worst part is, Maki isn’t the only one here who isn’t in a relationship. Ever since Miu showed up, she planted herself in the spot right next to Maki, took her phone out, and immediately started texting.
Some help she is. Maki scoffs as she puts her glass down. She’s about finished her drink, and she’s about finished with this outing, too.
