Summary
Jack had just stepped back onto the main floor when he clocked movement at the ambulance entrance, two guys hurrying in, the smaller one helping a guy with a sweatshirt covered in blood. But something was wrong, some unnamable instinct rising within Jack at the way they moved. It was too fluid, too controlled. Jack knew what the walking wounded looked like, had seen it for years, from war zones to bar fights. This wasn't the injured seeking help; this was men hunting.
Time slowed, Jack's heart rate spiking, the adrenaline dump casting everything in sharp relief—the full ED floor, patients plus shift change meaning twice the usual personnel were here.
Robby was here.
That thought got him moving, Jack approaching laterally. He got there right as the guns came out.

Summary
Eddie running his fingers along Buck’s split skin and muscle should be painful to him, but Buck's mouth falls open like he’s never felt a greater pleasure. He falls forward into Eddie, forehead resting on his collarbone, and Eddie lets his fingers explore. Buck is burrowing his face in closer to Eddie, gathering Eddie’s shirt in his fists, doing everything to press himself closer and pull Eddie in closer in return.He traces the outlines of the wounds. As he does so, they disappear under his fingertips. Eddie closes his eyes and imagines himself extinguishing a fire, advancing to the core of it as he knocks it down. He presses his fingers into the center of each strip of Buck’s pain, listens to Buck gasp, and then there’s skin. He runs his hands everywhere just to double check. There’s just skin and raised scar tissue.
Buck breathes.
Buck is breathing.
Eddie has never believed in God, but if there is one person on this Earth who has reached divinity, it would be Buck.

But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)

When John gets booted from his team for a "breach of contract" Simon does his best to be professional, to welcome his new goalie. That's what good captains do. It's just a shame MacTavish is such an arrogant prick.

Peter lets out a breathless yell, the webbing catching on one of the metal rafters before he can hit the floor, sending him back up into the air. He fumbles enough times to make Harry’s heart resemble that of one going into cardiac arrest but eventually he manages to get the hang of it, finding a rhythm that leaves him beaming happily, body twisting to send him back up to where Harry sat, landing neatly on the edge of the wooden platform.
“So?” He grinned. “What do you think?”
“I think,’ Harry glared. “That you almost gave me a heart attack.”
Peter’s grin widened. “And?”
“And…” He drew in a breath, letting out a grudging mumble. “It’ll work.”
He was unprepared for the bear hug that came in answer.
