“Boron” Harley blurted the word out before his hand was even fully raised. He couldn't let the teen remedy his mistake, not before Harley swooped in.
“You're the Boron,” He did not just- that was such a terrible insult. The sentence was uttered so quietly that Harley almost missed it.
“Your mom must be a saint for dealing with your intolerable arse.” Harley matched Peter’s volume, loud enough for only Peter to hear.
“My mom is dead, you insensitive, deplorable bitch,”
“Ooooh, that’s a big word, are you sure you know what it means?”

When Harley is found, 4 years after his kidnapping, he tells his parents his twin brother Isaac is dead. Because he is, Harley watched it happen.
On a completely unrelated note, why is this kid Peter in his new school such an asshole? And also, he’s offended that anyone would say they look similar, because they don’t, okay? It's just a coincidence.

The streets are dirty, crowded, and the jagged bumps in the asphalt are hardly comfortable to sleep on. They’re home, though.
Peter is just about finished with New York City. It’s gotten impossibly harder to find even a scrap of food, and what little belongings he does have are unlikely to keep him alive through the winter. And the memories. God, the painful memories here.
So he saves up. Makes a plan to get out of there.
Then, somehow, he accidentally saves Tony fucking Stark from a gang of eight mercenaries, and the majestic plan disintegrates into ash.
The worst part about it, he knows, isn’t even that he met Tony. It’s that Tony met him.

How the hell is he supposed to help a son he just discovered he had sort through trauma when Tony’s been stuffing his own stress and trauma down for years? Tony knows one thing for certain: he doesn’t want Peter to grow up to be like him… to stuff all of the crap he’s been through down and end up pushing everyone around him away. Well shit… that means Tony will have to lead by example.
