Armand shakes his head and looks at Daniel from under his lashes, making Daniel realize that he’s been walked to exactly where the other man wants him. “It’s in my hotel room.”

“Maybe I’ll kill you.” Armand tilts his head a little, eyes watchful on Daniel’s face. Daniel tries to ignore the way that his heart kicks up a notch in fear, breathing deeply and steadily.
“You won’t.” He’s shockingly confident about this assessment. Ninety percent sure he’s on the money. “Louis asked you not to.”
“And you think he’s got me domesticated?” Armand’s fangs have dropped, his chin tilted down for the most effective Kubrick stare Daniel has ever seen in real life. Daniel revises his certainty downwards; eighty percent, maybe seventy-five.
