Summary
Shepard has just been told she needs to face the music sometime - especially after she nukes an entire Batarian system. She has to contend not only with her own personal feelings but also with the fact that she's going to be grounded while under the inevitable threat of the Reaper invasion. Her and Garrus are forced to part ways, and it's much more painful than she expects it to be. She doesn't want to admit it, but she would give anything to see him one more time.
As the Quarians say, "Through tides of light and shoals of dust, I will return to where I began. Keelah Se'lai."
She just hoped that maybe, one day, fate would bring them back together again.
