Having chosen to live as Vox's prisoner, Alastor decides to have some fun trading unnecessary creature comforts (superfluous things like food, water, not having to spend all day in a chair) for sexual favours. Of course, the more he gives the more Vox wants to take, regardless of what he has to trade to get it.
Basically Vox is obsessed with Alastor, and Alastor decides to use that knowledge to his advantage. A sexual relationship develops that threatens everything Vox has worked for - and everything Alastor believes about himself.

Sometimes Atlas, mostly influenced by Mitzi, wanted to throw a party pretty much around the same times potential rivals would want to get revenge and if the Peppers were in town that ment his beloved goddaughter might not be safe on the hands of regular babysitters.
So, whenever "sometimes" happened, Atlas would hire the best of the best.

His cheek sagged on his other hand, knuckles folded to his palm as his lids fell in a slow blink. Nothing had been happening, these past few weeks. Which was fine! He'd spent his time fine-tuning his latest laser cutter, making sure it was powerful enough to break through even the densest of bones – but he couldn't ignore the fact that it felt like something was missing.
