Kacchan always boasted his mythos would be something amazing. Something flashy and strong- like the screams and roars that flickered on the computer screen.Like the three synchronous roars, from the gates of hell as Endeavour unleashed hellfire, and Cerberus devoured.

They are both beaten, injured, probably starving. Even on their knees, the blond one is listing to one side, putting weight on his companion to keep himself upright. The second, whose hair is darker, has blood dripping into his left eye and dirt matted into his curls. He braces himself ramrod straight to keep the blond one from falling over.
They are bent, but not broken. Shouto suspects that will change.
King Todoroki Enji captures the two successors of his greatest rival.
Make no mistake: this is a story about gentleness.

This is the sort of thing that used to drive Shouta completely up the wall, because he would have been sure that it was coming from a place of sarcasm. How could it not be? The Number One Hero looking him directly in the eyes and asking, “should I have put juggling on my teaching CV.”
Unfortunately, as Shouta now knows that Yagi is being 100% percent serious, it’s also now much harder to be annoyed about it.

Her old scarf was so ratty and worn, in comparison this new scarf feels like she's holding onto a cloud. She wonders where he found it. Or where he took it from.
“You already know that you have to keep this on no matter what,” Mr. Aizawa says sternly. His face is as grim and gray as the sky above them. “But if it does come off, and someone sees your horn, what do you tell them?”

If Midoriya Hisashi knows one thing, it is that being a person is a strange and unique experience. Which is to say that, sometimes, you get a 3 a.m. phone call from you kinda-biological-son-emotional-nephew thing while he is crying and having a sexuality crises, which is weird, because Hisashi thought he already had that years ago.

Not like scarred Shouto or flinching Izuku, who both swear by Yagi, God of Perseverance and Patron of Common Heroes. Not like humming Kyouka, who dedicates every song that trips off her tongue to Yamada, God of Music and Patron of Restless Souls, to make even the most desperate of panhandling a prayer. Hitoshi has long-learned that sort of faith is for people with slightly more hope than him.
But this is shelter, and it’s shelter he desperately needs, and Hitoshi is not devout, but Hitoshi is also not stupid.
Hunted, terrified, and with no other options, Hitoshi takes shelter in a shrine. He expects less than nothing. What he receives, instead, is help.
