The Ottawa Centaurs won their first ever Stanley Cup, and Shane and Ilya have been busier than every with all of their obligations and media appearances. Shane has been a little more tired and stressed than usual going into the off-season. During a business trip to Boston, Ilya makes a very ~unique~ plan to cheer Shane up.

It’s the easiest decision he’s ever made.
Hayden skates off the rink, barely pausing as he starts stripping off his gear. Coach surges forward, lips curled up with some order to get back out there, no doubt. He doesn’t give him the chance, “I’m not leaving him. I go where he goes.”
And that’s that.

“You don’t need to call her,” Rozanov says, and when Hayden glances at him, he still looks fucking miserable but now he’s rolling his eyes, a much more familiar expression of disdain on his face. “She’s sitting right here.”
