Summary
September 24th, 2024
Mike's life is nothing if not satisfactory. It's not particularly exciting or something unexpected, but it's satisfactory. Really, his father would be proud of him. He is married to Kate, a very nice, very... proper woman, and he has a 15 year old daughter with her, Jane
[...]
About an hour in, a new song starts playing. Mike almost mistakes it for an 80s song, actually, but only for a moment. It is intriguing, though. He looks at the title - Good Luck, Babe, it says.
..........................
Or: 53 year old Mike, married with a kid, listens to Good Luck, Babe, and something snaps. Not something he would've liked to snap, but still something snapped.

Summary
Mike Wheeler had two regrets in life: Marrying at 20 and not admitting his love at 16. Yes, those two were related.
Mike's life was a complicated one. His relationships and feelings, even more so. When he had been a teenager, and death was looming above his head, he recalled his thoughts as having been much clearer. But that's certainly not the case.
-----------
Written before E8 (haven't watched it yet, but I'm still open to spoilers if you want to bash it in the comment section) so what could've been Mike Wheeler in the epilogue. Will is dead and Mike, both to honour their story and to heal, writes down in 5 Volumes what happened between 1983 and 1987. A character study with no dialogue and in general just a fun thing I wrote before E8. Funnily enough, although this is tagged as unhappy ending, from what I've understood canon wasn't particularly better.

Summary
Not even a week later, the boys' lives would change forever, and not for the better. Not even a week later, things would get so much more complicated and scary. Not even a week later, a new chapter of Hawkins' history would start. But for now; they were happy just enjoying the moment.
~~~~~~
Miwi fluff; Mike and Will go trick or treating together, six days before the chaos that is season 1.
That's basically it. Part of Byler Gift Exchange for bylerween
Summary
April 7th, 1985
Mike felt El's lips on his. He leaned into it.
(Fake, fake, fake)
The kiss deepened. He could feel El's tongue teasing him. He opened his mouth, letting her in
(Fake, fake, fake)
Her hands were on his chest now. Mike involuntarily flinched away, which lengthened the already big gap between the couple. The pressure of her hands on his torso awakened some indescribable feeling inside of him.
(FAKE, FAKE, FA-)
^~^
Or: Mike's thoughts on his complicated feelings for his girlfriend, and even more complicated feelings for his best friend between Season 2 and Season 3.
Summary
Michael Wheeler thought he had known pain. He thought he had known the grief, and the guilt, and the sorrow that comes with fighting hellish monsters that come from an evil mirror dimension and feel eerily similar to their counterparts from his favourite board game since he was literally 12. So why did it hurt so much now?
So why did it hurt so much now?
El nodded "Yeah, I figured. Wanna tell me what you're thinking?"
Mike thought about it for a moment "Just- what if we could turn back time and change everything?"
-------------------
Or: What if, after Will's death, Mike went into a time-loop and tried to fix everything from the beginning. Bittersweet (?) ending
Edit: Okay I fear my definition of bittersweet is like, a bit shitty here. It's like if we said "Oh Will is gonna move on from Mike in 24 hours and magically get an epilogue boyfriend" and then call that satisfying. I wonder who could do that. Anyways this fic is probably closer to unhappy than bittersweet but idk. Maybe it's a mix. Did I mention it's not particularly good?
Summary
“What? No! I mean — I just meant—“ said Mike, struggling with the words, “I… I mean… who is it?” he turned back to Hugo, “Can we know their name? It might be somebody we know already.”
Will frowned, “I hope it’s not,” he said, “I don’t like anybody we know enough to marry them — except our friends, obviously, but that’s different.”
Hugo, if it was even possible, looked somehow immensely more excited by these words, “I can’t tell you who it is,” he giggled, “That’s a really big spoiler.”
Mike Wheeler’s son arrives in Hawkins with no explanation, snapped back in time entirely by accident — and he latches on to none other than Will Byers. If only they all knew why.
Then the power goes out — and if there’s one thing he dreads more than facing Mike, it’s the cold.
Summary
When Vecna falls, Will believes he is free. He is not.
The ghost lingers—in breath, in shadow, in skin that no longer feels like his own. Possession leaves wounds that never surface. Vecna does not simply invade; he remakes, until Will cannot trace the border between self and monster.
But his powers materialize.
And it feels nice to be now the one that takes.
