Summary
Sornwen, the Counselor of Armed Operations, was lying dead, face-first on the table. Lying down on the table was the glass of wine Aeron had offered him. He was holding onto it just a minute ago. He was alive just a minute ago. She had to face it.
Aeron had killed her own father.[...]
Get a hold of yourself. She could hear her thoughts screaming. Maybe it wasn't just her thoughts that were screaming, her ribs were aching and she could hear the whispers of people she'd failed, of people she'd betrayed, of people she'd disappointed, but that's alright. It wouldn't matter soon. You have a job to finish. Don't let her win.
-----
Or: Two old friends and allies. Aeron reveals all the truth she's known all along. Ariz cannot handle it.

Summary
September 24th, 2024
Mike's life is nothing if not satisfactory. It's not particularly exciting or something unexpected, but it's satisfactory. Really, his father would be proud of him. He is married to Kate, a very nice, very... proper woman, and he has a 15 year old daughter with her, Jane
[...]
About an hour in, a new song starts playing. Mike almost mistakes it for an 80s song, actually, but only for a moment. It is intriguing, though. He looks at the title - Good Luck, Babe, it says.
..........................
Or: 53 year old Mike, married with a kid, listens to Good Luck, Babe, and something snaps. Not something he would've liked to snap, but still something snapped.

Summary
Mike Wheeler had two regrets in life: Marrying at 20 and not admitting his love at 16. Yes, those two were related.
Mike's life was a complicated one. His relationships and feelings, even more so. When he had been a teenager, and death was looming above his head, he recalled his thoughts as having been much clearer. But that's certainly not the case.
-----------
Written before E8 (haven't watched it yet, but I'm still open to spoilers if you want to bash it in the comment section) so what could've been Mike Wheeler in the epilogue. Will is dead and Mike, both to honour their story and to heal, writes down in 5 Volumes what happened between 1983 and 1987. A character study with no dialogue and in general just a fun thing I wrote before E8. Funnily enough, although this is tagged as unhappy ending, from what I've understood canon wasn't particularly better.

Summary
Not even a week later, the boys' lives would change forever, and not for the better. Not even a week later, things would get so much more complicated and scary. Not even a week later, a new chapter of Hawkins' history would start. But for now; they were happy just enjoying the moment.
~~~~~~
Miwi fluff; Mike and Will go trick or treating together, six days before the chaos that is season 1.
That's basically it. Part of Byler Gift Exchange for bylerween
Mike felt El's lips on his. He leaned into it.
(Fake, fake, fake)
The kiss deepened. He could feel El's tongue teasing him. He opened his mouth, letting her in
(Fake, fake, fake)
Her hands were on his chest now. Mike involuntarily flinched away, which lengthened the already big gap between the couple. The pressure of her hands on his torso awakened some indescribable feeling inside of him.
It’s not ‘the same thing’ in the slightest. A sorcerer’s magic doesn’t even come from a book of spells, their powers are INNATE. Maybe go back to third fucking grade before you ever try and DM a campaign of your own. Jesus Christ. Another important differentiation to note is… [expand]
Summary
Jonathan thought it was stupid. The whole thing was stupid. Just because Will was quiet and small, and sensitive as his mom said, didn’t mean that… Didn’t give them permission to say things like that. Jonathan had been called queer before, quite a few times in fact, he was also quiet but the vitriol they say it with, when they direct it at his brother.
Frightened him.
The whole town had marked his baby brother as wrong. As different. As a mistake.
Jonathan wanted to burn the whole town down. With their accusations, and gossip; their fake and vapid smiles hiding any piece of authenticity. They all lied and hid, and they hated his brother because he didn’t.
Because he couldn’t.
It terrified him because they were right.
