Summary
The world is ending. Maggie wonders if maybe that is for the best.
„The world was ending. Maggie wasn’t sure if that could be called news. Sure, the whole biblical aspect of it was unexpected. On the other hand, she had the feeling that even if there weren't some supernatural power that wanted to destroy the world, the humans would be managing it well enough on their own.“
//Or: Aziraphale offers Maggie some reassurance about humanity and the future of the world.

Summary
"Human bodies have a great deal of advantages over celestial ones, as blasphemous as the thought is to even think. Faces to show what is in their heads, and hands to cover them. Hearts, as an explanation for everything that hurts and stutters in their chest. Ribcages to hold their hearts like a prison, so all the things slushing around inside don’t pour out and make a mess.
Aziraphale is very grateful for his ribcage."
/or, Aziraphale pines his way to a happy ending. Eventually. (He has to get through the mess the final fifteen left in its wake first.) -

Summary
Gabriel and Beelzebub come to Aziraphale's bookshop together. Neither Crowley nor Aziraphale are very happy with this turn of events. And nothing ever goes unnoticed on Whickber Street.
Or, in which I rewrite Season 2 so that the final fifteen never has to happen, give lots of attention to people who showed up for two seconds, and annoy our favourite characters to no end.

Everything's gone but the bookshop. Satan's just appeared.
Except... everything's not gone. Quite. Nor everyone.
A fix-it inspired by a lovely comment from siriogold on my Tumblr rant over whatever that was.

“It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people." — Terry Pratchett
