Summary
Cole Turner was never meant to exist.
Phoebe Halliwell was the one who gave him a chance to experience what it meant to be alive. He was born the day she chose to love him. The day that she saw who he truly was, WHAT he truly was, and still reached out to pull him from the darkness that Fate cast him into.
But Fate is never kind to those who seek to change it.

When Nick looks at Lucifer, he sees a VOID of light. Where once there must have been a Supernova, now all that remains are shattered remnants that have clung together to form a Black Hole- a hungry maw that destroys everything it touches because it no longer knows how to do anything else. Lucifer was once the most magnificent Star ever created- God's favorite, and Nick can see why.
Because even as a Broken Star, Lucifer is still the most beautiful sight Nick will ever see.
When Lucifer looks at Nick, he sees a softness that puzzles him. Nick's soul has been utterly desecrated. It is shattered beyond repair- from Lucifer's careless handling, Crowley's meddling, and Nick's stubborn insistence to look upon his True form. Nick Vaught is more of a collection of shards then a whole human nowadays, and yet... when Lucifer's grace fused those shards back together to form a Spiderweb that cradles his purely white soul... there are no jagged edges. There is only warmth, softness, and a gentle embrace.
Lucifer does not understand why he bothers maintaining this Red Spiderweb. He also does not question it. He is allowed his whims.

There’s a lot he can say here.
Like how Alastor makes his hopeless heart flutter with the belief that maybe dreams are still possible; that Alastor makes him feel something, anything, everything all at once, and it is as heavenly as it is torturous.
But all he can manage, in a voice so small he can scarcely believe it’s his own, is, “He makes me laugh.”
