His words are accompanied by a casual shrug, and said in the tone of someone who has clearly already given this subject some thought. Will doesn’t know what to do with that information. Jump from a building, maybe. “I mean, we’d all get flustered if Spider-Man carried us in his arms.”
Mike points to him enthusiastically. “Thank you, Lucas.”
Dustin looks between the two of them, his eyes narrowed.
“...Would we?”
“Sure,” Mike concludes. “He’s attractive. That’s not a weird thing to think.”
Will just barely resists the urge to bang his head against the table. He feels Dustin’s eyes glued to his burning face, and sinks even further down his chair.
In which Mike tells Spider-Man that he has a crush on his best friend, and Will jumps to some very wrong conclusions.

wow wow wow
we were so robbed, we could've had so much in season 5 but this a little pocket of one of those what ifs
the power is out in Hawkings and Byler has to share a bed and maybe their feelings. The emotional journey of them becoming one once again. It's Wills POV and the writing is so beautiful I almost shed a tear.
Mike was so brave both of them had to confront a lot. It was very angsty but in a good way (sort of) especially because it led to that wonderful ending -

“Do you want to go home?” He questions, leaning close and voice soft, and Will pauses, before nodding again. Mike lets out a breath, and lets his hand press against Will a little more firmly when he starts to sway in place again. “Okay, let’s go.”
Then he looks up and is met with smug faces, and Mike flushes when he realizes his own hypocrisy.
“I don’t talk like that,” Max recalls, voice high-pitched and overly girly and – Mike definitely doesn’t talk like that.
According to everyone in his life, Mike has a voice reserved just for Will. He tries to figure out what that says about him.

I loved this one why havent I saved it???
Edit: that's a shit ass bookmark for a fic I had on mi mind since the first time that I read it (which was YEARS ago). I love everything about this fic. Gods know soulmate au is my favourite type of fic, but I'd never read a fic with _animals_ as a representation of your soulmate and that was one of the coolest things about this fic. Besides as always its hilarious to see how merthur doesn't realise they're eachother's soulmate through being inmensely dense. Oh! and also then falling in love despite thinking the other isnt the one??? perfection. I also love how their animals attitudes incarnate how the other is/acts and how they're feeling at the moment (I had never seen that they could notice if the other was in love and the angst material is wonderful)
Overall this was one of the first soulmates fics I ever read and it was truly transforming. it was one of the works that made me fall in love with both merthur and this tag. I honestly would recommend this to anyone, even smo who isnt on the fandom bc you don't need much context and the concept alone is enough to carry the whole ficPs. also smo shut me up bc I'm going to keep mentioning things I love (truly something to commend given that is a 12k fic). The way the knights all knew was hilarious.
