There was a point where he liked Avid. It was amusing to watch him try and out Scott as something no one else believed in. It was fun to play with him. To taunt him. To slowly drive him mad with little hints, just enough for Avid to know he was right, but never enough to convince anyone.
Now, though, he wanted nothing more than to sink his teeth into that bandaged throat of his and drain every drop of blood until all that’s left is an empty husk.

It was a lot easier, the way Louis described it. Then again, Louis was a pile of ash right now, so what did he know?
Even the thought made him feel like vomiting, but Owen wasn’t sure if he was capable of doing that anymore. His head felt light and fuzzy, and the sores and pains that once marred his skin were all gone. He felt faster, stronger…but he was also currently running for his life.
Maybe he’d reacted poorly. Seeing your only friend being burned at the stake will do that to you.
Regardless, slaughtering an entire town drew some eyes…the wrong kind of eyes. And that's why he was currently in the process of running for his life.

This semester had been one of the hardest of his life. He was a junior, now, he could see the light at the end of the tunnel- but that also meant that the upper level courses needed for his degree were kicking his ass.
Most of them were fine, of course. Pyro picked a niche topic- there weren’t many anthropology and cultural histories majors, especially not for niche topics like Oakhurst. But that also meant there weren’t many professors for the topics.
And Scott Smajor hated his ass.

Grian was lazily slumped over the cashier’s desk when the bell at the door rang, indicating someone had walked into the store. He sat up properly, stretching his arms and putting his phone away. He recognized the man who had walked in, despite him not facing Grian. The man had black short hair and a mustache that he seemed to take care of very properly. No hair was ever out of place. He was always dressed up neatly, often wearing a suit. He always shopped at night, usually coming in towards the end of Grian’s shift.
Something was wrong this time. The atmosphere changed, everything felt still for a moment. Grian felt like he couldn’t move, like he couldn’t breathe.

That and make Avid shut up.I have been reading to many cute little fanatics about the vamps having fun little instincts and Owen being adopted by Scott. Which is great I love that but what if Owen didn't even get to town.
