Although All For One failed to kill the newly crowned Number One Hero, this event leads to drastic changes in several lives, and the repercussion spread from there like ripples in a pond.

Being told by his idol that he can be a hero was the greatest thing that had ever happened in Midoriya Izuku’s life. In fact, it was so incredible and amazing that it compelled him to do something that he had been taught from an early age to NEVER do. He asked his teacher a question.
Or: Izuku decides to ask Toshinori to teach him how to use One For All while he’s cleaning up the beach. This prompts Toshinori to realize that he actually can’t really do that. So he reluctantly calls Gran Torino and gets him to help train and supervise Izuku’s ten month American Dream Plan for entering UA.

Midoriya Izuku was 5 years old when he got his quirk.
Izuku grit his teeth, his young hands clenching at his sides as he tried his best to hold in the tears leaking from his eyes. He decided that even if his blood was tainted, even if he was useless, he would be a hero anyways.
He was 5 when he first got a brother.
Because no one was going to stop him. Not anyone. They would have to get through his wall of flames to do that. And he's built it up taller than anyone.
He was 9, when he first discovered who his father really was.
Then his story truly began.
And the flames rose up.

What do you do when your very touch can kill a person? Can drain their vitality away and steal their memories, their powers, their personality until nothing is left but a comatose husk- or even a corpse?
Well, in Midoriya Izuku's case: Move out to the Mie Prefecture as a kid, pick up a slightly awkward Kansai accent, start dating his transfemme BFF, call people "sugar" and "honey" a bunch, and, most importantly, dress like a goth femboy because it's really cute. Also: get pegged.
And, eventually, go to UA to be a hero!
Because angsting about volatile touch activated powers in a setting that's full of volatile touch activated powers is stupid.
Or: Izuku has Rogue's powers from X-Men. He doesn't let that stop him- and hey, who better to hang around him than the girl with a nigh infinite energy stockpile?
