    Summary

Steve Rogers has lived for entirely too long—long enough to see the world's end. The heroes are gone, and the Earth is pushing what's left of mankind towards the exit.

But when a makeshift team rises from the ashes, when a mysterious presence all but drags Steve there, he begins to think there may be hope yet. As they shoot for the stars one last time, Steve will get proof yet again that the future is nothing if not an echo of the past.

Never, in all his Spirals, had the Drifter ever found Humor. Maybe the Orokin author of his favorite "Tales of Duviri" storybook simply didn't appreciate the art of a good joke. Maybe he was, as Teshin often said with that wry smile, merely a sarcastic little shit.

For the first time in centuries, he smiled so broadly his cheeks hurt.

Maybe some of Mathila's mad happiness was rubbing off on him after all, because despite dying day after day in futile attempts to leave, now that he finally could, he wanted to stay and make his make-believe kingdom a better place.

    Summary

A series of stories following the Wayne family as they deal with illness, changes to the family, and growing up.

Four major completed longfics, and a whole lot of shorts. Shorts can be read out of order or skipped entirely.

(A no-smut series; rating is for some violence, gore, and language depending on story.)

    Summary

The trouble with multiverses is that one small change can spark an entire reality. In one universe parallel to 46'\, small matters - the speed with which paperwork was done, a few minutes’ difference in portal event initialization - went differently, and as a result, the next-to-last gravitational anomaly did not allow Stan Pines to escape from federal custody as early as he did in its sibling reality. As a result, Dipper, Mabel, and Soos had to proceed with only the incomplete and heavily biased explanations of what was going on offered to them by the angry, paranoid Stan lookalike who stormed out of the vending machine demanding to know who they were and why his house was suddenly full of novelty license plates, all while Stan and Agent Powers each learned and tried to interpret new information about what really happened in 1982 and Stan was further occupied with figuring out a new escape plan. How could everyone's stories possibly go downhill from there?

    Summary

All actions in war take place in an atmosphere of uncertainty, or the "fog of war." Uncertainty pervades battle in the form of unknowns about the enemy, about the environment, and even about the friendly situation. While we try to reduce these unknowns by gathering information, we must realize that we cannot eliminate them—or even come close. The very nature of war makes certainty impossible; all actions in war will be based on incomplete, inaccurate, or even contradictory information.
Having said this, we realize that it is precisely those actions that seem improbable that often have the greatest impact on the outcome of war.
