Summary
An existence of peace in the Pure Land does wonders to heal lifelong scars and reunite a once broken team, but Team Seven, no matter which iteration, has never had the best relationship with peace.
While Rin, Obito, and Kakashi might be responsible for their predicament, they certainly didn't mean for it to turn out like this. Now, thrown back to the last moment all three of them were alive, the once-again young members of Team Minato find themselves dealing with something far more consequential than deja vu.
They've already gone through this travesty of a script once before, however, and they're not eager for a repeat performance. The fabric of space-time can kindly set itself on fire, they're doing this their way.

Over the Glowstick’s forehead, in a neat font, letter after letter, a phrase ‘We’d need to do more tests’ started appearing, before erasing itself and conjuring a new one: ‘to know for sure’.
Sasuke blinked. Then he blinked again.
The Guy From Before smiled sadly at Sasuke, and then shot a side-eye to the Glowstick. Neatly, over the maybe-tennis headband on his forehead, new words started forming as well, syncing to his lip movements: ‘I will report to Hokage-sama then’.
‘It is quite unfortunate that this happened to young Uchiha-san’, said the forehead of Glowstick.
(SI!OC wakes up in a body of an 11-year-old Uchiha Sasuke with barely any memories of his own, and plenty of unresolved trauma, PTSD-induced flashbacks-maybe-memories and raging hormones of his new body. Or was it his body all along? No matter if maybe!Sasuke is comatose, or dead, or reincarnated, or having a particularly bad trip one thing is for certain--he can't speak Japanese for shit.)

Summary
“Oh yes, and this too,” she says, and then from somewhere plucks out a buttery pale scroll the length of her arm, and deposits that on top of the dumplings.
Kakashi looks at the Scroll of a Thousand Cranes, the secondary mission objective, and makes a “huh” noise.
Rin and Obito have been taking care of his missions more and more these days. That’s probably a good reason to finally request being taken off active roster, considering Rin and Obito are figments of Kakashi’s imagination. Or coma. Or whatever drug-induced stupor he might’ve gotten himself into. No one’s complaining, not the higher ups or even his ANBU teams, which makes the latter two options very rather likely. Mainly since the last two options translate to: nothing that happens to Kakashi is actually happening.
(Or: Hatake Kakashi and his two (not) hallucinatory dead best friends.)

“Anyway,” he continues, “our economy’s been a shambles since; maybe gets going for a year or two before it collapses again. No security of stability, so assholes like Gato think they can waltz in here and take charge. Boy, he'd be singing a different tune if the Uzumaki were still around."
Sakura’s eyes widen a bit at that, and even Sasuke looks up. Naruto opens his mouth to say something, but Kakashi puts a firm hand on his shoulder.
“What an… illuminating piece of history,” says Kakashi, “Thank you for sharing.”

(Kiri may have won the battle, but not the war. The island of Uzushio might not be as dead as previously believed.
All Kakashi knows now is that he really should have refused that mission to Wave.

Mitarashi Anko is loud, obnoxious, vulgar, and scary. But she says what she thinks, and she thinks that Naruto's pranks are awesome, that Ino is both pretty and smart and potentially as cool as her dad, and that Shino had good taste in clothes and has a super-brain. So now the three kids want to be like her when they grow up, the original team assignments are shot, and half a dozen of Jonins are stuck unraveling this mess while Anko and her three pyromaniac are prancing around.
At least it won't be boring.
