Seven years after the events of Danganronpa, Maki(No longer Maki - but Muryo Nanako), Himiko(now Kana Tekina), and Shuichi(who goes by Ushinata Onoko) are visited in their dreams one night by long deceased Kaede Akamatsu.
The ghost of Kaede desperately calls them back to free the trapped souls of The Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles.Unsure why they're being called back to where their lives ended, the trio reunites and must enter in a widely off-limits abandoned building that is apparently wildly haunted. Worst of all, they must figure out how to free the spirits of their deceased friends.

Except Laurance's ideally casual and calm High School life somehow turns sideways when he meet Prince Charming and finds himself entangled with the Shadow Knights.

“Well clearly you’re sick with something, asshole. So what, are ya broken? Has this ever happened before?” she asked bluntly.
Bolaire sighed in exasperation. “No, I’m not broken, trust me, I would know. I just… don’t understand. I’ve never felt like this before, it’s—“ he stopped to clear his tightening throat, “it’s awful. How do you all deal with sickness on a regular basis?”
“Well I wouldn’t say we deal regularly,” Hal corrected, “but if you’re not sick, why is this happening?”
Azune suddenly adopted a serious expression. He spoke.
“Do you think he’s been poisoned?”

“He can’t summon any of them.” Janus placed his mug onto the counter-top. “He was actually acting a lot like you, which definitely wasn’t absolutely distressing. He was doing his laundry when I found him.”
Thomas… was following the schedule Logan had offered to him? His mild worry about his companions wavered. Would it be so bad if Thomas was this motivated? Just for a day? Of course, Logan’s questions were hardly ever of the rhetorical nature, and these most certainly weren’t. Thomas being active for the day, motivated by his logically conceived schedule and sense of self preservation, would not be the figurative end of the world.

When Roman, Patton, and Virgil disappear into the Imagination, it's Logan's job to go find them before Thomas becomes a husk of his former self. However, he's not alone; he's stuck with Janus and Remus, of all people, and needs to trudge through Remus' half of the Imagination to get to the others.
