Summary
While helping with packing and moving Eddie's stuff to the Munsons' new trailer, Steve and Robin accidentally come across some of Eddie's very private magazines. They decide to hide them at Robin's place until Eddie comes home, and that should be the end of it.
So Eddie's queer. It's not a big deal, because so is Robin. Except Steve can't stop thinking about it, and about their interactions in the Upside Down, and about how nice it feels whenever Eddie looks or smiles at him.
It might be just the flattery of it all, somebody finally being interested in him after a while, that's getting to him. Or is it? Would he feel the same way about any guy? And what should he even do about it?
Steve goes through a complex week of introspection; thankfully, not without his platonic soulmate by his side always ready to talk. And in the end, it doesn't matter if he still has doubts or unanswered questions. One thing he knows for sure: there's something about Eddie that makes him want to just go for it.Written for Steddie Love Month day 22 prompt: battle vest

If someone told Steve a few years ago that he would regularly lift Eddie Munson into his arms, he would have advised the poor soul to take a long vacation at Pennhurst.
But here he is, holding Eddie against the humming fridge in his dark kitchen, fingers digging into the flesh of his thighs, with not a single inch of space between their bodies, Eddie's wide, dark eyes fixed on his.
"Two is a coincidence..." Eddie mutters, licking his lips, letting the rest of the sentence dwindle out as Steve's eyes fall shut.
OR: Eddie has a nasty bruise from a previous hookup accident, and Steve gets the itch to prove that he could easily lift Eddie up and would never let him fall.

Eddie got 1 perfect summer when he was 11. He met a boy with big brown eyes and hair like sunshine. They spent every day together and promised to write until they met again at camp. And they did, until, 2 months before summer, the letters stopped. Eddie’s last few came back 'return to sender'. At camp, the bunk beside him housed an unfamiliar face.
Now he’s 17, shipped off to Hawkins to live with his uncle after his dad screwed everything up. On his first day, he walks into homeroom and there he is: Steve Harrington. Eddie still had the old letters, tucked safely in a shoebox under his bed, rereads them when the world feels too big and lonely, remembers flower crowns and being told he looked pretty.
He stepped towards him eagerly, expectantly, hoping for that same sunshine smile, the flame of recognition.
Steve just wrinkles his nose. “Do I fucking know you?”
Well. Fuck you too.

Munson, of course, stared back at him blankly, but instead of backtracking or something, Steve batted his eyelashes for good measure, really hamming it up.
Munson blinked at him once. Then twice. Then he raised an eyebrow and said, deadpan, “What the fuck are you talking about?”

Maybe Eddie’s not in the best decision-making headspace. Maybe it’s the alcohol, or Hagan’s stupid fucking smug smirk, or the sudden realization that this is an amazing opportunity to show off in front the boy of his dreams, who’s currently watching the staring match with mild concern. Harrington’s eyes on him, for longer than a second of exchanging a baggie for dollar bills and a half-hearted “thanks”. Yeah, that would be nice. Very self-indulgent.
Eddie accepts Tommy Hagan's challenge at pool. Little does the arrogant jock know, Al Munson is not only a criminal but a goddamn hustling genius, and he taught Eddie everything he knew.
Predictably, Hagan is an incredibly sore loser, and Steve Harrington needs to step in before things get ugly. They do get ugly, for a bit; but then they take a turn, in a way Eddie never could have expected.Written for Steddie Love Month day 4 prompt: pool
