Dabi snapped his fingers, cutting off Hawks’ tirade. “Whatever you want to give me, I can take.”
“Keep talking like that, and I won’t be able to hold back, Dabi,” Hawks tried to warn, but there was a tremor in his voice, a small break in his control, and Dabi just couldn’t help himself – he had to push on this exposed nerve.
“Who said I wanted you to hold bac—” The spit drenched feather shoved back into his mouth, pressing down on his tongue until his mouth was forced open despite the staples along his jaw.
“You have no idea what you do to me,” Hawks whispered, ragged and hoarse, but still, he crept forward to trace a hand along Dabi’s leg, his fingers roaming across his scars and muscles, before finally letting go at his hip. Hawks held up his hand just as a stiffened primary feather flew into it, vanes toward the ceiling and long quill toward the bed. “Just know, you asked for this. You know how to stop me.”

Summary
Maybe Keigo had made a mistake by agreeing to help at the fall festival. Maybe he should’ve told his clubmates that he was too busy to attend, too busy to watch their club’s booth, and definitely too busy to make baked goods to sale.
But he hadn’t.
He’d heard good things about baking, though. It was supposed to be therapeutic and relaxing. Fresh baked goods filling your home with warmth and the welcoming scent of fall and sugar and all that good stuff.Whoever told him that baking was fun was a liar.
Pulling out his phone, he hastily scrolled through his contacts before calling Rumi.
“Hey, I need you to come over here. I don’t care what you’re doing; I need help – now. Get here as soon as you can; see you—”Sooner than he expected, he heard a knock at the door – except, that wasn’t Rumi’s voice.

Summary
Dabi’s nose whistled in his sleep.
It shouldn’t bother him, except that Hawks had hundreds of sensitive feathers down his back, each one hearing the sound separately so that Hawks was perceiving it hundreds of times over every few seconds for hours at a time.
This sound was the bane of Hawks’ existence.Who knew you could miss something so annoying?
