Scott being bitten by a werewolf turned things upside down for Stiles. His best friend's time was being taken away by the Hale's training, Scott's girlfriend, and his sudden popularity. So attempting to find and kill the alpha that bit Scott seemed like the most cathartic plan.
It doesn't go as planned. But it did introduce him to Peter Hale, and the man was interesting to say the least.

Summary
The life of a temple slave is short, unpleasant, and generally ends in sacrifice.
Unlike other, newer, cities (with their orderly new religions, and temples on nice well-lit mountains) the ancient city of Gotham likes her old gods blood-soaked, with their cave-like temples dark and cold, nestled deep in her breast.
The old gods are vengeful untame things, primeval horrors, prowling the night keeping the citizens in line. The God of the Long Night rules the city with an iron fist, his priests delivering vengeance onto wrongdoers. Gotham doesn't have nice gods. She has Gods for much darker things.

Summary
This series focuses on the lasting effects of violence in the Batfamily among the Robins.
Chekhov’s Gun: After the Titans Tower attack, Tim suffers from PTSD, and Jason's frequent presence is not helping. He spirals and starts carrying a gun "just in case".
The Gun on the Mantel: A year later, Tim's abusive relationship with his father comes to a head. Jason offers to do something about it. Tim's parents die.
Jump the Gun: Damian arrives and the already violent batfamily dynamics are pushed to the extreme. Bruce doesn't handle it well.
A Smoking Gun: Jason finds out why Tim and Dick are weird with each other — the whole undiscussed Robin handover — and he takes that personally.
Gunpoint: Tim plays on Jason's insecurities for the sake of keeping them both alive because Jason is not down to hurt Tim again but the mission demands it.

A gentle storm hits Camelot - enough that knights are to stay home not so much they have to worry about people. Gwaine and Merlin for once have the time to properly enjoy each other and their relationship. Soft kisses, talking, sex, and dreams about who they could be if the weight of the world wasn't on their shoulders.

Gwaine gets into a bar fight to protect a young woman, and is pulled out by a handsome medic. Merlin, crew member of Starship Camelot of the Astraeus Fleet, patches him up and the spend an enjoyable time together. They can never really shake each other after that. Even stranger, Gwaine finds he doesn't want to shake Merlin.
