Yuri Plisetsky was not expected a response when he wrote a letter to his favorite skater. He just had to tell him that his skating was good and he better up the difficulty before Yuri kicked his ass in seniors.

She was sweet, she checked in on him when she visited the lab, gave him snacks, and took interest when he babbled at her. So when he noticed she hadn't visited the lab in a few weeks, he was worried. Tony reassured him that she was okay, just extremely busy with her work. It sounded like she was overworking herself. He couldn't do much about that, but he knew how to provide comfort during a stressful time. Baked goods.
Pepper Potts was skeptical when Tony first took on a young intern. But Peter was a sweetheart and Tony was transforming into a much better person because of Peter. So naturally, she loved Peter. When she is having a stressful time at work, Peter brings Pepper her favorite dessert and she is touched.
