Summary
He was sure Akutagawa was dead. So, needless to say, everything that went down at the airport was quite a shock to the poor boy. He didn’t even have time to process Akutagawa’s momentary stint in vampirism, because they were soon fighting against another powerful enemy, just the two of them, once again. It had now been a week since everything had finally ended, since the Decay of Angels was finally defeated, and Atsushi hadn’t seen or heard from Akutagawa once. That is, until Atsushi saw him casually walking down the street, as if nothing had happened. So, yeah. Atsushi was more than a little pissed off. He wasn’t entirely sure what he was mad about, specifically, but there was no mistaking the burning sensation he felt in his chest the moment he locked eyes with the man who had literally died for him.

I don't really know how long this is gonna be or what it's even really gonna be about, but I've been dying to write something for sskk for a long time now, and I wanted to do something on the longer side, so I figured I would just start writing and see what happens! I hope you enjoy it :3

Summary
Atsushi gets affected unknowingly by the ability user they are trying to track down; he slowly watches and feels himself dieing with out being able to do anything :D.
So with little clues and a little knowledge the group that had been set up for the mission and Atsushi himself, try to track down and deal with this disease ability user(with several trials and errors) before new symptoms arise, old ones get worse, or worse comes to worse he ends up dead.
Other issues (one specifically involving a certain black haired Mafioso) also arise in Atsushi's time of crisis as he barely spends a moment away from the other while Akutagawa is by doctors orders made to "babysit" Atsushi as his health deteriorates. With weeks on end spent together in the same hotel room, vulnerable and half delirious, its only reasonable that other feeling between the two break way to the point its hard to ignore.
2,500-15,000+ words per chapter, but they get longer as you read, so you're eased into it.

A small shift of Atsushi’s body against Akutagawa's chest resulted in a small cough from the older man. Any other time Akutagawa would have surely scolded him for causing him pain, but not this time.'

“No.” Atsushi’s chest stuttered. Byakko was in his lungs, now, all confused and scared. Ryuunosuke? “No, it’s — Byakko — she —” and he couldn’t say it, couldn’t explain it. 'She loves you so much' and 'she wants to eat you' should have been contradictory thoughts.
But Ryuunosuke said: “She wants to eat me?”
Atsushi said nothing. Just stood there, hunching, back to the wall, hugging himself like a child. Ryuunosuke was flushing red from navel to neck, and the ladder of his ribs kept expanding and contracting in a slow, careful, conscious way — he was scared, maybe. Of Atsushi? As if Ryuunosuke couldn’t, if he wanted to, impale Atsushi into the wall right now.
“Yes,” Atsushi said, his claws digging into his sides.

It visibly threw Shadow off, burning red eyes flicking from Sonic to his own claws and back to Sonic, his mouth slowly going slack from its previous twisted expression.
