Summary
Vox relocates from New Orleans and finds himself a new home, new hunting grounds, and most importantly: Alastor, the biggest crush of his life. Unfortunately, the man fucking hates him. His attempts to turn Alastor’s simmering hatred to begrudging affection fail entirely, until a nighttime middle-of-the-swamp meet-weird (and some erotic knifeplay) over a corpse.
Follow two serial killers figuring out what kind of life they can build together. They meet each other's families, navigate the question of how Vox has evaded consequences for so long, and settle into something real. Underneath the domesticity, Alastor carries a 20-year-old score to settle, and when he finally gets the info he's been waiting for, he drags Vox into it with him.
A story of revenge, family drama, a soul-binding, uncovering each other’s closely-held pasts, through the slow and painful work of two people learning to be known, and eventually toward the question neither of them thought they'd answer: what does a future look like for people who never planned to have one?

Summary
After the events of season 2 episode 8. Vox's public image is hanging by a thread. Velvette comes up with a plan to boost his public approval by showing their support and promoting the Hazbin Hotel, sparking Vox's efforts to promote the hotel as a way to show the Pride Ring that the Vees support their ideas for redemption. Forced proximity between Alastor and Vox brings up many buried emotions in this slow-burn fic. Dual POV follows Vox as he tries to repair his public image, business and personal relationships, and his emotional battles, all while trying to regain Hell's trust. Alastor's POV follows past emotions and memories he thought he'd gotten over while serving as the hotel's host and dealing with its new "Business partners."

You refuse to acknowledge it Charlie but love is not the only emotion that brings caring about someone. You have to care for someone to hate them too! He cared about me enough to hate me! I care about him enough to hate. But now? Now he doesn’t hate me. He won’t bother me. He doesn’t care enough! But I still hate him. I still care about him enough to hate. Where does that leave me? What am I now? He calls me Mister! Not my name, not my nickname, fucking Mister like I am someone who he stumble upon on his morning walk!

After season 2, Vox erases his memories of Alastor and makes it impossible for them to get triggered but Alastor takes the challange and befriends him again to make him remember. Feelings get involved again…
