Dick’s laugh next to him suddenly stopped. “Dude,” he groaned.
“What?” Tim asked, slightly panicked at his tone.

The power goes out at Wayne Manor and Cass goes missing. The solution to finding her? "a very intense game of searching for Cass where the winner gets ultimate bragging rights, and the experience is enhanced by the fact that we only have candlelight to find our way" in the words of Steph. The night turns into an intense game of betrayal, mystery, and lies, that all come unraveled as they race through the dark, candlelit halls of Wayne Manor.

“Tim,” Dick interrupted with a whisper, “out loud. Read the name out loud to me. Please.”
Call it paranoid, but Dick needed to know he wasn’t making this up. That he wasn’t stupidly hallucinating a name that wasn’t actually there.
Tim swallowed, his grip on the card tightening. “Jason Peter Todd-Wayne,” he read, with obvious difficulty. Dick let out a startled laugh as he straightened up. He ran a frantic hand through his hair. “Fuck. Fuck!”
Tim stared at him. “This is… Jason’s old library card,” he pointed out and Dick nodded, perhaps a bit too fast.
Jason loses his old library card while on patrol as the Red Hood. He thinks nothing of it, as Jason Peter Todd-Wayne is legally dead to the world. In hindsight, he should have been worried, because his family are fucking detectives.
Or: How a lost library card ruins all of Jason's big reveal plans; and reconnects him with his brothers somewhere along the way.

This comment explained the Jason and Tim interactions on this: "I love the accidental implication here that Jason and Tim are like cats and you to let them metaphorically sniff each other through a door first and then they'll slowly adjust to each other and avoid a titans tower incident" and I love it
The fic is mostly dick and Jason interaction thought, which can be summarized in what Jason says in the fic about him: "Still a chatterbox, still an annoyance to anyone in his general vicinity." Which translates to: "Dick is getting his little brother back no matter what Bruce or anyone says, he's gonna annoy him into his acceptance if he needs to"Or: the library is a great buffer for their first interactions since reappearing, civvies and a low tone of voice do that
Also future me: there's glimpses of dick losing his shit/anger issues which I love to, he brute forces his way into managing his emotions thou, as always, but! There's some acknowledgment and comfort for that!

It reads like a movie or a series, I loved it so much, the recurring themes and the Holocaust thoughts feel so Gen Z of him, like thinking about how the world sucks and trying to not get put down by it but also using it (or trying to) as empathy fuel, kinda failing and then later joking about those dark thoughts lmao Tim you're so real for that
The dynamics are so good, second chapter with Jason was my favorite but I loved the overall tone of Tim's thoughts as he grows up, it's literally how I see him, the mention of how he's choosing to be good not like Bruce or dick choose to be good but because he originally had nothing to lose and then he does lose and how it takes him very close to the edge? Gods, I loved that.
One of my fav characterization of Tim but also the interaction between siblings is really good too, the feels were immaculate
