She stooped to Leon's shoulder, her lips plucking gently at his old bullet wound.
“Not right now,” he said. No one had ever touched him like this before. Her manner was adoring, as if his scars were more than just the proof that he was damaged.
“Good. I don’t mind them." Ashley's hands slipped down his face, tilted his chin up so their eyes met. “I’ve always thought they’re beautiful.”

Begins mid-RE4 remake and continues on after the final cutscene.
Leon S. Kennedy is a seasoned agent, but he's also just some guy. He's also the boy he was when his family was killed and everything fell apart, he's the rookie cop who just wanted to make the best of it all, and he's the trauma that follows him wherever he goes.
And, in the end, he is always alone.
Sherry is taken in as a ward of the U.S. Government after the fall of Raccoon City. He and Claire both find their own way to fight bioterrorism. Ada Wong is never much more than a specter in the wind, showing up at random and at her leisure to steal a kiss or save his life before walking away for the millionth time.
Enter Ashley Graham, and Leon is reminded of the person he wants to be, and what sort of people can help him do that.

Kennedy charm works on all her nursing staff, men and women. Some of the doctors too. He's an incessant flirt, and she knows he doesn't mean anything by it, but when he's being a pain in the ass, it gives her a headache.
And Leon’s always being a pain in the ass.
