The girl wasn't afraid but she had not been given permission to speak so she said nothing. The man tilted his head to the side, smile fading to a confused pout.
"Aren't you going to scream?" he asked.
The girl said and did nothing.
His hand tightened around her throat, strong enough it cut off her breath. She did nothing, even when her vision began to blacken as her lungs struggled and twisted from the lack of air. After a moment his hand relaxed and she took a breath, but made no attempt to push away from him or fight his grip.
"That's strange," the man said, "Are you really not afraid?"
She blinked but did not respond. His hand loosened around her throat until he was pressing his bloody index finger against her neck, sensing her pulse. It was as steady and calm as it had ever been since that day she became empty and hollow.
"Well, aren't you interesting. I think I'll keep you," the man decided.

Summary
During a training exercise gone wrong, Izuku Midoriya was kidnapped by a group of organized criminals known to deal in the sale of child weapons. Said criminals work on a request basis, using a form of brainwashing to psychologically break targets before training them to be killers. After the process is complete, the target is handed off to the client who requested them, which is, in Izuku's case, the league of villains.
Although he'd like nothing more than to escape and return to his old life, Izuku has done things that there's no coming back from. Horrible, bloody, unforgivable things. But even worse than the guilt, and the fear, and the pain, is the growing feeling he doesn't really regret any of it. In fact, he's almost certain that he's enjoying it.
Izuku Midoriya is broken, and as far as he's concerned, he isn't worth repairing.

In another universe Izuku picks himself up and goes home with no one else any wiser. In this universe a hidden security camera catches the entire situation and a worried parent confronts Inko with the footage. Inko decides to move the two of them out to the Mie Prefecture to get Izuku away from the bullies and into a new safer place for him to grow away from the quirkless prejudice he had been forced to admit to facing for the last two years.
It wasn't until Inko asked Izuku to help her plant the garden that they discovered the doctor who diagnosed Izuku's supposed quirklessness was a hack and maybe Izuku doesn't have to give up on his dream of becoming a hero while Inko doesn't have to give up on her dream of lots of grand babies!

And then the frostbite. The letter she'd left only added to his motives. Dying in a well wasn't a good way to go out. But the dream ended with his death.
