He stepped towards the mound, and it looked daunting at that moment, felt higher than any mountain in Japan, the feeling of it lodging itself deep in his mind, Eijun unsure as he stood in this unfamiliar place.
But when he turned around, Eijun found his eyes.

Eijun is sulking.
Big time.
One, he woke up on the floor today after falling off his bed because he was running away from a giant sentient tire who wanted to eat him, and his arm hurts.
Two, it's his anniversary with Miyuki, and… they can't see each other. Eijun is stuck in Nishinomiya for a high-profile TV commercial shoot (that was supposed to be last week but they rescheduled last minute to today), and Miyuki has a catcher's meeting he can't miss because his coach is already pissed he missed a Tokyo Giants fan-appreciation event to visit Eijun last month.
