Chardonnay Brandywine (AKA Tav, Clataedre Calthrenis, etc,), a chaotic good College of Lore Bard, was kidnapped by mindflayers, infected with a magical tadpole, and crash landed far from her home in Baldur's Gate. After meeting other infected, they began a tumultuous journey to find a cure and discover the source of their magical tadpoles, uncovering a plot that includes its fair share of Gods, Devils, and other monstrosities. Some of them even manage to fall in love, despite their equally tumultuous lives before meeting.
Lots of spicy and sweet interactions between the pairings, as well as plenty of angst.
