Mione pulls her wand and runs another diagnostic, and this time, I read with horror the list of internal injuries Harry’s currently suffering. Nothing that will kill him. Bruised lungs. Bruised spleen. Broken bones. He’s all but depleted his magical core. Nothing we haven’t taken care of ourselves in the past. But it’s certainly not doing him any good. He barely flinches in his unconscious state as she heals his two busted ribs and reaches into her bag for the remainder of our dittany.
The potion has zero effect.
“It’s probably from the Avada,” she says, and the way she says it…I rip my gaze from him to her. “It probably needs to heal naturally.”
She shrugs like it makes all the sense in the world.
Maybe it does. What was it that Dumbledore always said? Dark magic leaves a mark. That’s why Harry has his scar, right?Does this mean he’s going to have another? Harry…died. He died, and the proof is right there on his chest.
