Frieren froze, the breeze around her seemed to pause - even the grass stilled, the vibrant green of it seemed to pale ever so slightly. She could see Fern's expression go from cheerful, to grumpy in a matter of seconds, but at that moment, it didn't matter.
She hadn't felt a summoning spell in decades - humans had all but forgotten the magic existed, as they did with a lot of older spells. "Mistress Frieren-? Is something the matter?" She could only vaguely hear Stark speak, she wondered if it was how humans heard, as she blinked, her vision seemed to blur between two areas.
"I'm being summoned." Frieren answered, she was never a woman of many words, and she could hear what sounded like yelling, but she couldn't make out the words anymore.
