Summary
Harveste began like this - another inconspicuous day in a slew of boring days, starting off with a perfunctory visit to the market, messing about with what could possibly be a very silly idea, and ending in a sense of accomplishment and the first installment. The day after that, buoyed into hitherto unfamiliar levels of ecstasy by readers’ comments (seriously, thank you so much to my first readers), the second installment. And then it just snowballed from there: the researching, the planning, watching and searching out all the little macabre details in a feverish giddy rush.
My absolute favorite project, hands down, and the one I’ve had the most progress with. I’m quite proud that this is the first contribution I’ll be making to AO3, and I’m certain it won’t be the last. I hope this inspires me to continue and finish what I’ve started, because dear Harveste deserves that.

Some unknown force has resulted in the disappearance of the Radiance, just before the infection could reach its peak under the Pale King's rule. The mystery soon takes a back-burner to a rearranged custody agreement over Herrah's brood, some clumsy attempts to re-establish marital trust, and some long overdue re-evaluations of the Pure Vessel. The king will send his newly unusable creation to train under the Great Knights, and become their sixth.
Court intrigue, sibling bonding, goddess hunting, different brands of motherhood, and accidental arson are abound.

Alastor’s eyebrows crept further towards his hairline as Val breathed in the smoky-sweet smell of him, like burnt sugar. “So, you mean to say that you want to use me as a bone to wave about and taunt Vox with?”
“Don’t sound so offended,” Val chuckled with a slight roll of his eyes. “I’m not saying we should fuck right here on this counter.” He paused, giving Alastor a look, though the other man took a long, deliberate sip of his drink, staring flatly at Val, who clicked his tongue and continued. “But a little playful flirting never went amiss, eh?”

Valentino is dragged to an event by Vox and is not having a good time. That is, until he spots a familiar face in the crowd and thinks up the perfect way to get his revenge.

Alastor pretended to check his nails, the music on the radio growing louder in his excitement. "I was just relieved of a burden a bit ago." He cryptically replied, grinning. "A liquor, if you don't mind."
A sentence like that was typically a pretty good indicator that Husk did not want to know what had happened. He dragged his hand down his face and simply got to work.
