He chokes back more tears, feeling horrible. He can practically feel Will’s heavy gaze on him, the memory of Will’s eyes strong in his mind. The truth weighs heavy on his shoulders and he can’t help but let it spill from his lips. “Oh Will, I was just starting to dream the silliest and softest of dreams.” He bites his lips. “I dreamt that we were hanging out at the arcade, playing dig dug, and you were laughing.” He pauses to swallow a cry. “You were laughing, and it was possibly, no it WAS, the most beautiful sound I ever heard.” He can feel his body weaken as he speaks. “I… you should know that I died slow Will. I fell slowly, I wasn’t always sick. I’m sorry.” he breaks, crying. “I’m sorry.” He shakes his head. “Will, you were like magic, you know? You casted a spell on me Will the wise, and I didn't even notice until it was too late. This feels more like a curse, divine revenge for being such a dick. “He sniffles. “Ironic isn't it?” Mike lets out a dry laugh.” I’m usually the one who casts divine smite.” He laughs again, sounding more pathetic. “I’m such a nerd.”

Or, Mike hates Christmas and this one seems to get worse and worse with no reprieve. But maybe something will change that?

Mike can't help but be mad, he's mad at Will for lying to him, mad at Nancy for caring more about Dustin then him, mad at himself for being angry. He can't help it, but he does try and keep it in check, then El reveals that Will lied to him more then he thought after they broke up. Then Nancy tries to blame everything on him. It's all...to much. So he blows up, he blows up and he hates himself. Running away to the only safe spot he knows, a place that was destroyed because of he own reckless, angry, actions. Thankfully, someone comes to help him, even if he'd rather they leave him alone. Though, it's because of his stupid emotions that things actually start to heal. So maybe he should be thankful for his anger even if they make him more like his father then he would like...

Mike Wheeler is a coward, he always has been. No matter what anyone says, no matter what anyone does, Mike Wheeler has and always will be a coward. He hides behind Eleven, a girl he doesn't even love, because he's to scared to admit his feeling for his best friend. He writes letters to said best friend but never sends them because he's to scared to see their reaction. He avoided Will because he was scared that he would figure it out somehow. He got possessed by Vecna because he was scared of his feeling.
Every brave act he does is a product of adrenaline, he's a coward. It's worse when El breaks up with him, because now he can't hide. It's worse when Dustin spills that he jumped off of the quarry, because now the Party won't leave him alone. And it's worse when Will confronts him at said Quarry because he was stupid and scared enough to run. Now what does he say? Does he tell the truth? Or does he lie?
