Two years ago, the Kur came back, their fleet even more vast than before.
Humanity didn't stand a chance - but the yokai did.
They annihilated the invaders in a haze of bloodlust and fury, defending their territory with horrific ferocity. That should have been the end of it. Earth was finally free of the globalist threat, once and for all, and the dead aren't meant to harm the living.
But the immune response didn't stop.At the end of the world, the Ayase residence becomes the last known stronghold for aliens and humans alike. Momo Ayase must fill her grandmother's role or risk the lives of everyone left, but it's a near-impossible task. It's made more difficult by each passing day she marks in her calendar. Hard to care about the future when your heart is stuck on what's been lost.
Meanwhile, outside the safety of their walls, a new threat lurks. It has a promise to keep.
