There was only one heartbeat still in the office and it was racing. Matt stood up shakily from his chair, searching for the slightest sound of his friends "Foggy? Whatever you’re doing, stop it, it’s not funny. Karen?"
The cars in the streets begin to swerve about wildly, a few crash in deafening screeches and glass shatters, spilling out onto the roads. Children crying, parents calling out names, gasps of the injured wondering what the fuck is going on, shouting about dust of all things? With both headphones gone, his assist tumbled off the desk with his sudden movements, everything was somehow so much quieter.
The noise, the overwhelming chatter and smells, had been halved- almost exactly halved.

Initially, he’d assured himself that not enough (any?) studies had been conducted on the existence and effects of touch starvation within incorporeal beings such as himself. Hence, there was no evidence to support the claim that he would develop any of the aforementioned symptoms.
However, based on self-examination alone, Logan could confirm that touch starvation was, in fact, a reality. Or meta-reality. Whatever he prefered to call it (which was anything but ‘his reality’).

It's been fourteen years since Remus last saw his brother. Fourteen years, and here he is, in the pasta aisle of a grocery store of all places.
There's hardly much dramatic flair to it, but never let it be said that Remus can't work with what he's given. Which is to say that Remus promptly runs him over with his shopping cart, and somehow, everything works out from there.
