Katsuki was nine years old when he first heard about Humarise. Thinking it would be better for Izuku to be a part of a Quirkless organization and forget his dreams of being a hero, he signed the greenet up as a Quirkless applicant.
Izuku, at eight years old, still dreams of becoming a hero, but many things plagued his mind. For starters, he's different from everyone else because he's Quirkless and intersex. It didn't help that his best friend hates him for some reason, and he's treated lower than scum. He can only cling to his newfound faith and interest in the occult and parapsychology.

Tldr: Izuku becomes a psychic investigator, a Quirkless individual gifted with supernatural abilities despite lacking a quirk. Some believe he's the "missing link" between the Quirkless and those with paranormal abilities, while others think he's a hoax. Katsuki has been Japan's Number 1 Pro Hero for three years but feels he's irredeemable and fucked up. No matter what Katsuki does, he could never atone for the sins that he committed toward Izuku. They meet again after several years to work on numerous cases.
