And sure as shit, Goro fucking Akechi was walking towards the school, trailing just a step behind Sae Niijima. Funnily enough, Akira wouldn’t have believed that it was Akechi, if not for the eye contact he was holding with him; the very intense eye contact with him. Akira couldn’t help but wink at him. What! It would be fine, Akira was the only one who remembered the events that were to play out in a few months, and surely Akechi would just think of him as another one of his fans. But that oh-so familiar flash of searing anger tore its way across Akechi's face, the flash that he'd never been able to hide, the flash that made itself known every time Akira decided to be dumb, or reckless, or just outright self-sacrificial.

It is Junior Year, and things are supposed to be the same as ever. Poe will walk into his first class, find his seat, give a polite smile to the teacher as he walks past, set up his workspace (the real importance of that first day), and proceed to keep his head down for the rest of the year; Doing every assignment perfectly, and taking all the extra credit he can get.
Except, he walks into his first class of the day, and then he is in Fifth Grade, standing shakily in front of his whole school as he stares the worst thing that ever happened to him in the face. Again.

I hate writers.” The spirit finally looked down at him, making eye contact with Poe. It was the first time that Poe ever looked back at him, and the ghost knew. He looked on at him in an approximation of disgust, recoiling back as Poe offered a small wave at the person hovering half-way to the ceiling.
“Absolutely not.” The ghost seethed, and disappeared as if nothing was there in the first place.

With the way Tamsy’s looking at him, it might as well have been.
Tamsy’s gaze becomes lidded and his head tilts slightly. He thinks for a moment, twirling the end of a strand of his hair before he responds.
Enjin’s fingers ache from where the flame of the cigarette starts to burn the filter.
