Before, it was just kitchen utensils or the baseball bat. Now...now it’s at band practice every day.

Tommy shudders and shakes his head trying to vacate the wrong thoughts out of it. He downs the rest of his beer to flush them further down into his boiling gut. He feels a bit sick. And the feeling doesn't improve one bit when he turns around after replenishing his drink situation and sees Eddie fucking Munson sneak back into the party, following only a few steps behind Steve. Steve tilts his head to the side as he thinks. Maybe not very often, but his freshman year when Davey Riggs had been swim team captain? Yeah, he had definitely imagined some stuff that had made trips to the locker room kinda awkward.
“Yeah, that's true,” Steve answers, nodding. “I wonder why everybody acts like it's so gross, though.”

Summary
Steve skidded to a stop and prepared to get bowled over. Just as he was about to swing, a much darker, growling blur leapt out of nowhere and started going to town on the dog...thing.
Oh shit, that was an actual dog rolling around and holding off the demo-babies.
His furry rescuer yelped and fell backwards onto its ass when the demon dog managed to swipe at it with its claws, but Steve followed up by landing enough of a blow that it stayed down. More weird, not-quite-right, creepy howls came from the fog.
“Looks like they brought backup. Come on!”
Steve pointed to the bus and hoped the dog would follow instead of trying to go out in a blaze of glory.
Or, a S2 AU, if Eddie was a werewolf.

He pushed at Steve's knee again, a cautious attempt at comfort, then leaned back on the couch.
