Lo and behold, in the middle of a goddamn bar, where they’re celebrating another game won, the rookie is tucked into the corner of a booth with wired earbuds crammed into his ears, a tablet and notebook splayed open in front of him. He’s rapid as he jots his notes down, expression woolly, gaze darting back and forth between his screen and paper.
