His gaze hooked onto something. Another bot, staring right back at him, who quickly tried to make it look like he hadn’t been staring at all.
Knock Out had noticed him before. How couldn’t he? Blue plating, a dark blood-orange faceplate, yellow optics. All the same colours, but wildly different in every other way. A lot more white in his paint job as well.
He had also noticed how the mech had been conveniently finding somewhere to stand that had a view of Knock Out, but was far enough away to not begin any sort of interaction.
He wasn’t doing a very good job at appearing inconspicuous.

The Prime Decepticons find themselves stuck in the Earthspark universe, leading Knock Out and Breakdown to have a conversation that doesn’t quite live up to either of their fantasies.

Finally, the blue optics that were practically burning holes in the ground as he concentrated snapped up at Knockout. Fear, anger, confusion—all of them flashed through Bumblebee’s optics with varying brightnesses. Knockout’s expression faltered slightly at the vulnerability of the Autobot in front of him, nearly showing his own surprise and concern for what should be his enemy in this war.
Breaking optic contact with Knockout to focus on his quivering servos, Bumblebee huffed a shaky beep as he said that he simply couldn’t transform anymore.

But Knock Out is forced to reveal that he might have accidentally left a certain vampiric spider-bot and her hive of undead Insecticons there. Obviously, the thing to do is turn the ship around.
Arcee has a better idea. Airachnid down there? Fine. She brought plenty of ammo.

On a post-war Cybertron, Knock Out decides to deal with his problems by *not* dealing with them--instead, he orchestrates a 'friends-with-benefits' situation with none other than Optimus Prime as a distraction. Oh, did I mention that he's got the same arrangement with Ratchet? Not that either Optimus nor Ratchet are actually aware of the other fling taking place. Knock Out doesn't see the harm in it.
This all happened because Optimus and Ratchet are struggling with their feelings for one another, and again, instead of dealing with this slag like adults they both retreated to casual sex with Knock Out. The arrangements work out for all parties and Knock Out has no trouble keeping the details a secret.
It's easier than facing the truth--at least it was, until the speedster realises he's developed feelings for the two mechs, who are already unknowingly in love.
