“You’re a bad liar,” murmurs Munkustrap.
“Can’t hurt worse than yours,” Alonzo tries, guilt rearing its ugly head, but Munkustrap shuts it down with half a hiss, as clear a demand to keep it to himself as ever.
Alonzo keeps it to himself. It doesn’t make him feel much better.

“That was a rhetorical question; I already know. You have fluid in your lungs, and like three other diseases in your system, which are figuratively and literally eating you from the inside out. You’ll be lucky if you even last the next few hours, let alone to the morning.”

Summary
Shadow may have moved on from the events of Space Colony ARK, but now he has to learn how to live beneath the haunting spectre of White Space.
Still reeling from the recent loss of Maria and Gerald, Shadow finds himself back in Central City, resuming his work as a G.U.N. agent to distract himself from his grief. But G.U.N. is suffering from a public image crisis, and their actions force Shadow to reckon with his past once again. In their desperation, G.U.N. asks him to work alongside the Central City Children’s Hospital to help sick children.
This PR stunt was obviously designed to exploit Shadow's past and invoke Maria's memory, and Shadow knows it. But despite his anger and misgivings, he realises that the hospital program would finally give him a second chance to fulfil his intended purpose as a cure. He can't ignore the risk that his efforts might help G.U.N. whitewash their past actions ... but this opportunity could also help him find a new way to fight for the world that Maria loved.

A shadow. Long, jagged spines silhouetted by firelight, swaying with each deliberate step. Smoke curled around the figure as it approached, using an overturned car like a ramp, metal shoes hitting the car with solid, thudding force.
Sonic’s mouth gaped as another hedgehog stood before them, black with red stripes, a scowl and red eyes. He looked so… cool.
And strapped to his chest was– Sonic’s entire brain stopped.
“Is that a baby!?” Sonic shouted in disbelief.

On his little ship in the middle of the Ocean, everything was on fire. Inside its metal walls the air was thick and golden, soaked with chi that his own ‘saw’; the walls were living, breathing like the scales of a dragon, warm to the touch and just as easy to maneuver, dull red like sleeping coals; every flame, every firebender, every soldier was soaked with a chi and energy that Zuko mapped and ‘saw’,mind perceiving it as light and color. Compared to his ship, the palace was as cold and dead as the Arctic.

The Commission facility had been cleared out before Krupp and Purse’s team had arrived- children being taken back to O.S.S. headquarters for examinations and processing so they could begin the rehabilitation process. The children, some as old as twelve and some as young as a few months, would require extensive therapy to unlearn how they had been raised, and from there would be rehabilitated, integrating back into regular society. A process that would be extensive and take time, but ultimately would be successful. The O.S.S. had done it before.
