However, their plan is short-sighted and upon returning to the present, they find nothing has been fixed and the situation is FUBAR. Oops.

You don't expect anyone to do anything, even if they do notice. After all, you're far too good at pushing others away. (This year is different in all the best and worst ways. Ever a reminder of the looming past, but also generating care and love and warmth that you can't refuse.)
Aizawa's been having a bit of a hard time lately and the people that care about him notice. Lost in the shadows of his past, it can be hard to see the light. Class 1-A share their light with him (because he gave them light, protection, warmth and they want to return what he has given them).

The separation exists because I'm an anxious bean, and as much as I trust those 7 people listed as co-creators on the fics in this collection, I am very much not happy to let that many people have control over the sum total of my BNHA writings kdfhglkajhfkah I literally don't have a save file for like half of those, and I wouldn't remember where to find the other half lol
Do you know how easy it is to accidentally delete or orphan a series?? i don't because I avoid those buttons like antimaskers.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku knows teachers are all the same. He had wanted so, so badly for Sensei to be different. He had always admired Eraserhead as a pro hero, and then Sensei had saved his life. And, yes, he was strict, but so much nicer than any teacher before.
But he was still a teacher. And Izuku was still a quirkless, useless freak who didn’t deserve any of this. Not for free, at least.
He thought he’d never have to go back. But he would, for his dream.

Aizawa Shouta knows something's wrong with his problem child. Recklessness, lack of trust, and all the broken bones from a quirk the kid couldn't control. None of it made sense. And what finally tipped Aizawa over the edge was the most recent test results. His number one problem child kept missing questions Aizawa knows he should be getting correct. It was about time the underground hero got some answers from his student.
