Summary
Keigo had never been fully in control of his fate.
It was a simple fact of life, as clear to him as the sky was blue or the mountain caps were white.
While he couldn’t control it, he could still manipulate it. Whether he did that through a few sugary words to an old lord or by offering a young countess a sultry smile, he grabbed as many of the threads as he could and wove them to his will. He could keep himself alive for a while longer, and if the cost of that was a few hands that lingered on his waist or brushed through his wings, that was fine.
If leading on countless suitors and suitresses was what it took to lay alone in bed a while longer, well, he could blush and offer a weak, shy smile as they were introduced.

Damian huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head as he stepped past him to set his panel down.
He barely got it aligned before Jon’s hand caught his.
“Jon—”
Jon tugged, spinning him around and pulling him into the middle of the space.
The movement threw off Damian’s balance for half a second—but Jon steadied him immediately, already laughing as he tried to guide him into something resembling a dance.
Or: Jon and Damian work on renovating their basement together.

Every relationship has it's rough moments, even those in which people are literal soulmates, it is guaranteed to have an argument. Maybe their love becomes stronger, maybe it takes a toll on the relationship, whatever the outcome is, no one should be surprised it happened. It's normal and it's alright to disagree, even argue. It then depends on the people how they deal with it. Do they stay together or do they part ways? It depends on the weight of the argument. All in all, arguments and disagreements are a normal part of a relationship.
Except the literal Devil and a chain-smoking exorcist who both have the emotional range of a cabbage don't understand that.
