    Summary

    The room is too bright.

It’s quaint, in a nauseating sort of way. Polished floors glint from the gleaming honeycomb chandeliers overhead, make him squint. A few vases sprinkled here and there, filling the room with a sickeningly sweet scent – even a waffle-cone headrest framing the silken sheets of a neatly-tucked bed. Outside, the golden sun gleams, the gentle rays of light spilling past curtains that waver in the afternoon breeze.

It's meant to be beautiful. Luxurious. Welcoming.

With one sweep of his cane, Shadow Milk tears it apart.

Penelope smiled, serene and radiant in her simple flow-like chiton, and looked at him like he was still her little boy.

“I have something to tell you,” she said softly. “Please, walk with me.”

Telemachus followed, helmet tucked under his arm. They walked side by side toward the palace.

“You will be having a visitor tomorrow,” she said. “You’ll need to be ready by noon. I’ve asked Cyrene to prepare you a new chiton and cloak.”

    | AKA, Peisistratus/Telemachus romantic hurt/comfort, sequel to a previous work. They are both royally screwed. Slightly crack, but has serious moments. Odysseus is unhinged. Enjoy! |

“Aww, why not?” he groaned. “It sounds like so much fun! I’ve never been to a real festival before. Not one where people actually have fun and aren’t just parading around in gold robes trying to impress each other.”

“That’s because you’re the prince. You’re not supposed to be there.”

“Which is why,” he said slowly, grinning now, “I need a disguise.”

    | AKA, Peisistratus/Telemachus romantic fluff, both being disguised at a festival to avoid drawing attention to themselves. They had too much wine. Have fun reading! |
