Harry Potter is seven years old when he receives a letter from a mysterious man who claims to be his godfather, who claims to be innocent, who claims that magic is real, and claims a lot more stuff that makes Harry's head spin.
Though, on Dudley's 11th birthday, Harry is left in London with a few pounds in his hands and a promise to be picked up seven hours later when someone calls out his name and is on a warpath to get to him.

Especially once Anakin Skywalker starts snooping around, convinced Obi-Wan is involved—he always knew trumpet players were up to no good.

If the squirrel no longer fears Yan, then he must find something that she does fear, and that is this. And this needs to be implemented in the garden immediately, if Yan hopes to protect any more tomatoes.
“My apprentice,” Sidious says, “I have noted that you have been absent from your post lately.”
“Taken ill, I have been, my master,” Yan says smoothly, as though he is not one such person who waltzes around town wielding a great, horned, plastoid bird.
Sidious blinks in a fashion that resembles the very same creature in Yan’s hands. Yan blinks back innocently.
“May we walk?” Sidious asks.
“We may indeed,” Yan says.
(Dooku joined the darkside because he thought it would take him away from a life tied up in red tape and, finding that what was awaiting for him on the other side of the Force was just more goddamn red tape, he moves out to the country to an old cottage and demands that his grandkids come help him set up a pig pen.)

Summary
Kal's words rang in his head, of how the tradition could be used against the Mand'alor and when Obi-Wan looked at Jango's empty sheath, he knew what he had to do.
Obi-Wan shot forward as quickly as he could, ducking in front of Kal to steal one of his knives and slamming into Jango’s side right as Reau made it there, sliding the knife in right before she could.
They both looked at each other, Obi-Wan’s eyes wide as he realized what he’d done.
“Obi-Wan?” Jango asked as Kal grabbed his arm to keep him upright, looking between Obi-Wan and Reau as he started to piece together what had happened.
“I’m declaring my intent,” Obi-Wan said, keeping his voice as calm as he could, “To court Mand’alor Fett. Do you accept?”
Obi-Wan Kenobi is called back to Mandalore as the True and New Mandalorians are trying to come to a truce with Death Watch trying to take hold of the planet. He hadn't expected to find himself siding with the Haat'Mando and he certainly hadn't expected to find himself entering a millennia-old courting ritual with their leader.
But like always, Obi-Wan finds that when someone needs his help, he can't seem to walk away.
