At first glance, you wouldn't believe that the three were Trine- between the glares, arguments, murder attempts, backstabbing and general impression of overall hatred among the three- but they were. And they all love each other more than they could ever begin to express. These are the missing scenes that the other bots don't see-- behind their cruel false Decepticon bravado, you can see the soft-hearted Seekers that joined up with Megatronus all those millennia ago because they simply couldn't bear the thought of being separated.
